About this product
The Koisuru Oshiri (恋するおしり) range from PELICAN SOAP is at its richest in the 100g Body Butter, the thickest, most moisturising cream in the series. It comes in a tube that squeezes out from a butt-shaped nozzle, and is made for the hips, waist, thighs and shins, where dry, rough skin is a concern, including where tights rub. It blends three plant butters (shea, murumuru and mango, 15% in total) with glutathione, retinyl palmitate, niacinamide and plant extracts such as peach leaf and peach seed, in a non-sticky cream with a sweet peach fragrance composed in Grasse. Where the Body Lotion is the lighter option, the Body Butter is the richer cream. Made by PELICAN SOAP, the Tokyo-based soap maker founded in 1947, and designed for the body (not the face).
How to use
- After bathing, pat the skin so it is only slightly damp.
- Squeeze a small amount from the tube; the nozzle is shaped like a butt.
- Apply to dry, rough-feeling areas such as the hips, waist, thighs and shins.
- Spread gently and evenly until absorbed, then dress.

How is this different from the Body Lotion?
The Body Lotion is the lighter option; the Body Butter is a thicker cream with three plant butters (shea, murumuru and mango). Pelican calls it the richest in the Koisuru Oshiri series.
Is the body butter greasy?
Pelican describes it as a non-sticky, high-moisture cream.
Can I use it on my face?
Not recommended — the rich butter formulation is designed for thicker body skin; use a dedicated facial moisturiser for the face.
How much does one tube hold?
100g net content; how long it lasts depends on how much and how often you use it.
