The barrier to matcha was never the taste. It was the whisk.
MATCHA SHAKER was designed and produced by Yoshimura Co., Ltd., a Tokyo packaging company that has worked with nearly 7,000 Japanese tea specialty shops for more than 90 years. Add about 20ml of water, add one 2g matcha sachet, close the lid and shake for around 11 seconds — no whisk, no bowl, no tea ceremony experience required.
The fan-shaped ridge moulded into the base is the whole mechanism: as you shake, it breaks the water’s path and forces it to churn back on itself, dissolving the powder evenly instead of leaving it clumped at the bottom. Each shaker is hand-finished by Yamanaka artisans in Kaga, Ishikawa — one of Japan’s three great lacquerware traditions, with more than 400 years of history.

HOW TO USE · The YOSHiMURA Routine
- Fill the shaker with water below 40°C.
- Add 2g of matcha powder.
- Close the lid and shake vertically for 11 seconds.
- Pour into a bowl or cup and enjoy.

Can I use hot water?
Use water below 40°C for the best mixing performance.
Does it replace a traditional bamboo whisk?
It creates smooth, lump-free matcha quickly without the need for a bamboo whisk.
Is it dishwasher or microwave safe?
No. Hand wash only. Do not use in a dishwasher or microwave.
How much matcha should I use?
The recommended amount is 5g of matcha powder with water for each preparation.
