Jetstream Standard Ballpoint Pen 0.7mm Black 5-Pack

This is the everyday workhorse of the uni line-up in 0.7mm black. Jetstream is the ballpoint that made low-viscosity oil-based ink the default in Japan, and this five-pack is the plain standard body in black. Mitsubishi Pencil's Jetstream ink uses a low-viscosity, highly lubricated formula that cuts the friction coefficient at the ball, so the pen glides rather than drags and your hand stays relaxed through a long lecture or a stack of forms. The line lands dark from the first stroke, dries quickly instead of sitting wet on the page, and avoids the blobbing and skipping older oil-based ballpoints are known for. The 0.7mm ball is the confident all-rounder of the range: bold enough for signatures, carbon-copy forms and desk work, still controlled enough for daily notes. The knock-action barrel is refillable with the matching uni SXR-7 cartridge, so the pen body outlives the ink several times over, and the standard series runs in 0.38mm, 0.5mm and 0.7mm if you want to mix widths. Five pens per box is enough to stock a pencil case, a desk drawer and a bag at the same time. Made in Japan by Mitsubishi Pencil.

1. Click the knock to extend the tip and write at a light, natural angle - Jetstream needs far less hand pressure than a conventional ballpoint.
2. If the line skips after long storage, scribble a few circles on scrap paper to re-wet the ball.
3. When the ink runs out, unscrew the barrel and drop in the matching uni SXR refill (SXR-38, SXR-5 or SXR-7 for the 0.38mm, 0.5mm and 0.7mm tips).
4. Retract the tip before pocketing the pen, and store it flat or tip-up so the ink feeds evenly.
5. Wipe the ball with a tissue if ink collects around the tip after a long writing session.
