ZEBRA Sarasa Clip Gel Pen 0.5mm Black 10-Pack

Sarasa Clip in black at 0.5mm, packed 10 to a box. This is the ordinary Japanese gel pen - the one stocked in convenience stores and university co-ops rather than a limited release - and the multipack is how it is normally bought. 0.5mm is the default across Japanese classrooms and offices: fine enough for a planner box, dark enough to read across a desk, forgiving on rough recycled paper. Zebra's water-based pigment gel ink is the reason the line reads dark and stays that way: pigment resists water and light where dye ink fades and runs, so notes highlighted over or caught in the rain survive. The movable binder clip is the other design point, hinging open far enough to clamp a thick notebook cover or a sheaf of handouts. Each pen refills with a Zebra JF-0.5 cartridge in the same color, which makes a multipack a supply of bodies rather than disposables. The JJ15 code identifies the 0.5mm size. Made in Japan by Zebra.

1. Click the knock to extend the 0.5mm tip and write with light pressure - gel ink flows without force, and pressing hard only shortens the tip's life.
2. Retract the tip before pocketing the pen so the point does not dry out or catch on a bag lining.
3. Clip a pen onto the cover of each notebook you use rather than keeping all of them in one case - that is what a multipack is for.
4. When one runs out, twist the barrel apart and fit a Zebra JF-0.5 refill in black instead of discarding the body.
5. Store unused pens tip-up in a jar; a fine gel tip left lying flat for months is more likely to hesitate on the first stroke.
