Fountain Pen Ink Cartridge Pink 5 Cartridges

IRF-5S is Pilot's standard fountain pen ink cartridge, sold five to a pack, and this is the pink one. It is the refill that keeps a kakuno, Cocoon, Prera, Metropolitan or any other Pilot cartridge-type fountain pen running: push one onto the metal nipple inside the grip section until the seal breaks, screw the barrel back on, and the pen is ready in seconds with no bottle, no syringe and nothing to wipe up. The range covers ten ink colors, so switching a pen's personality costs less than a coffee — black and blue-black for work and school, and colors like pink for annotation, journaling, correction marking and color-coded study notes. Pilot excludes only its plunger and piston filling models, the Custom 823 and Custom Heritage 92, which take bottled ink instead. Five cartridges is a genuine stock-up: for most people that is months of ordinary writing. Keep them sealed in their case until needed and they store indefinitely. 1. Unscrew the barrel of your Pilot cartridge fountain pen and remove the spent cartridge.
2. Push a fresh IRF-5S cartridge straight onto the metal nipple inside the grip until you feel the seal break — a firm push, not a twist.
3. Screw the barrel back on and hold the pen nib down for a minute, or tap the section gently, until ink reaches the nib.
4. When switching from another color to pink, flush the nib and feed with cool water until it runs clear, then dry the parts before installing the new cartridge.
5. Store spare cartridges sealed in their case, upright and away from heat.
