ZEBRA Mildliner Double-Sided Highlighter Soft Fluorescent 5-Color Set

The Mild Liner is the highlighter that turned Zebra into a brand people collect rather than merely use. Instead of the acid yellows and greens of a conventional marker, every shade is toned down, so a page can carry four or five colors and still read as text rather than as a warning sign. Each pen is double ended: a broad chisel tip laying a 4.0mm band across whole lines, and a fine tip drawing 1.0 to 1.4mm for underlining single words, boxing dates or writing headers directly in color. The ink is water-based pigment, chosen because it resists bleeding through thin notebook and textbook paper. Sets are sold as curated color families rather than random assortments, which is why journaling users buy them by the box. This one is Soft Fluorescent, known in Japan as honnori keiko: it contains Mild Pink, Mild Orange, Mild Yellow, Mild Blue Green and Mild Blue - fluorescent shades toned down until they stop shouting - the bridge between a normal highlighter and the muted families. 1. Sweep whole lines of text with the wide 4.0mm chisel end, and roll the pen over to the 1.0-1.4mm fine end for underlining single words, boxing dates or ruling planner headers.
2. Highlight only after the pen or printer ink underneath is fully dry, otherwise even a pigment marker will drag the line.
3. Test one stroke on the last page before highlighting a whole spread in a very thin notebook.
4. Cap both ends firmly after use - a marker left open for a day loses far more ink than one used daily.
5. Store the pens flat rather than tip-down so the ink stays balanced between the two nibs.
