About this product
This is the plain black Sarasa Clip in 1.0mm, sold as a 5-pen pack (P-JJE15-BK5). Sarasa runs on water-based pigment gel ink rather than dye, which is why the black reads as a true saturated black instead of the washed-out tone of a cheap oil-based pen, and why the line stays put once dry rather than lifting when a highlighter passes over it. 1.0mm is the broad end of the line: headings, address labels, parcel forms, name tags, anything that needs to carry weight from a distance. The clip that gives the pen its name is a movable binder clip: it hinges open wide enough to bite onto a thick notebook cover, a stack of handouts or a pocket edge without splaying. How to use
- Click the knock to extend the 1.0mm tip and write with light pressure - gel ink flows without force, and pressing hard only shortens the tip's life.
- Retract the tip before pocketing the pen so the point does not dry out or catch on a bag lining.
- Clip a pen onto the cover of each notebook you use rather than keeping all of them in one case - that is what a multipack is for.
- When one runs out, twist the barrel apart and fit a Zebra JF-1.0 refill in black instead of discarding the body.
