A complete at-home straightening kit sized for short hair, ProQualite EX is built around Utena's cold two-step perm system: Solution 1 relaxes stubborn curl from the hair's core, Solution 2 locks the new straight shape in place, and a rich after-treatment with argan oil and hyaluronic acid helps smooth the cuticle and reduce the dryness that processing can leave behind. It's designed for humid, frizz-prone climates where regrowth and waves fight back fast.
How to use
- Section dry, unwashed hair and apply Solution 1 from mid-lengths to ends first, then finally to the roots; comb through to distribute evenly.
- Leave for 5-15 minutes per the included timing guide, then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water only (no shampoo).
- Apply Solution 2 generously from roots to ends; leave for 15 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
- Finish with the after-treatment, leave 3-5 minutes, then rinse and style as usual.
Ingredients
- Monoethanolamine Thioglycolate (Solution 1) — quasi-drug active that softens and breaks the hair's internal protein bonds so curl can be reshaped.
- Sodium Bromate (Solution 2) — quasi-drug fixing agent that re-forms bonds in the new straight shape.
- Hydrolyzed Lanolin & Hydrolyzed Keratin — conditioning agents that help offset processing dryness.
- Seaweed Extract — moisture-supporting botanical in both solutions.
