ZEBRA Mildliner Double-Sided Highlighter Soft Fluorescent 3-Color Set

This is the three-pen version of Zebra's Soft Fluorescent family (WKT7-3C-N), the smallest way into the Mild Liner line. Honnori keiko, the Japanese name, means roughly faintly fluorescent, and that is exactly what the family does: it keeps the visibility of a conventional highlighter but dials the intensity down until a textbook page stops glowing and the text underneath stays comfortable to read. Like every Mild Liner, each pen is double ended - a broad chisel tip laying a 4.0mm band for whole lines, and a fine tip drawing 1.0 to 1.4mm for underlining single words, boxing dates or writing headers directly in color. The ink is water-based pigment, chosen because it resists bleeding through thin notebook and textbook paper. Three colors is the sensible trial size before committing to a five-color family; around forty colors exist across the line, in families from gentle pastels to earthy neutrals to deep subdued tones. 1. Use the 4.0mm chisel end to sweep whole lines, and turn the pen around to the 1.0-1.4mm fine end for underlining, boxing dates and writing headers in color.
2. Wait until the ink or toner underneath is dry before highlighting, or the marker will drag it.
3. Test a stroke on the last page of a very thin notebook before highlighting a full spread.
4. Cap both ends after every use; an uncapped marker loses more ink in a day than a used one does in a week.
5. Store the pens flat so the ink stays balanced between the broad and fine nibs.
