About this product
Designed by legendary Japanese industrial designer Sori Yanagi, this 22cm iron frying pan uses the Magma Plate surface — fine dimpled texturing on both the inside and outside that increases surface area for efficient, even heat transfer. The pan has pour spouts on both left and right sides, a universal design usable by either hand, and comes with a fitted stainless steel lid. Made in Japan and compatible with all heat sources including gas and induction.
How to use
- Before first use, wash and dry the pan, then season it with a thin coat of cooking oil over low heat. 2. Preheat over medium heat, add oil, and cook. 3. Rotate the lid to open or close the pour spouts for draining or steaming. 4. After cooking, wash with hot water and a brush (avoid detergent when possible), dry completely on the stove, and wipe with a thin film of oil before storing.
Ingredients
- Body: iron (Magma Plate textured on both sides); lid: stainless steel; handle and knob: phenolic resin
