About this product
Designed by Sori Yanagi, the father of Japanese industrial design, this 22cm iron frying pan features his signature curved silhouette with pouring spouts on both sides and a lid that rotates to adjust the opening. The double fiber nitriding treatment hardens the iron surface with nitrogen that penetrates into the metal itself — unlike a coating, it cannot peel off, giving outstanding corrosion and abrasion resistance for years of use.
How to use
- Before first use, wash and heat with a thin layer of oil to season. Preheat the pan, add oil, then cook; the flared rim pours sauces cleanly from either side, and rotating the stainless lid opens a gap to vent steam or drain oil. After cooking, wash with hot water while warm, dry thoroughly over heat, and wipe with a light coat of oil. Compatible with induction (IH), gas, halogen and radiant heaters.
Ingredients
- Body: nitrided iron (double fiber line finish); Lid: 18-chrome stainless steel; Handle and knob: phenolic resin. Made in Japan.
